A brief introduction

This is me. Recently. At my graduation ball. I don't always look this nice i'll be honest but I don't wanna come across like the minger I am straight away.

So, I'm 21 years of age (turning 22 in September), and I just graduated with a 1st class honours (yeh baby) in BA History. Decided to go back and do a masters at extremely short notice cos I was bullied into it by my dissertation tutor and a load of other Uni people so in the end I gave in and said yeah. After third year dissertation hell I am questioning my motives to put myself through it all again but it's probs my tireless quest for knowledge and enthusiasm for expanding my brain?? Or maybe not ha. That said, I do love history and I want to one day be an amazing teacher, like Robin Williams in the Dead Poets Society, or Mr Rawlinson my old High School teacher who was well scary but dead knowledgeable and interesting. He used to wear an Ellesse tracksuit and an Everton tie on non uniform days, what a legend.

Apart from history I do have lots of other interests, e.g. food sex fashion blah blah. I guess what you can expect from me on here is a mixture of everything, like a running commentary of my life, and everyone else's for that matter ha!! I have fantasies of being an amazing fashion blogger like Karen (writer of Where Did U get That?), or the girl who writes the blog about food and fashion called The Whisk and The Wardrobe which is very inspirational. In reality I will probably be more like a mixture of Adrian Mole and Bridget Jones, but we can always dream can't we? I need to have more interests than writing history essays and transcribing episodes of Nigella Kitchen to my Microsoft Word recipe book...

As for the stylish and meaningful title of the blog, me and my best friend Emily, when we were in like year 11, decided to write our own little books. Mine was called 'Ellie, Sex and the World', and basically was like a lewd narrative of what we thought it would be funny to imagine people we knew doing. It was all ridiculously comical and lighthearted, before any former classmates take offence, but the title has stuck with me ever since!
